Have A Halo Party!

Halo parties are a weekend staple around here. A bunch of kids getting together at a friends house, cramming into one room and playing Halo til all hours of the night. So, on the off chance that maybe not everyone knows how to have a Halo party, I asked my oldest son, Matt, how to set one up.

WHAT YOU NEED:

4 - 8 friends or more.
One good size room - depending on how many friends you invite.
One network hub (modem) with 4 or more ports.
Ethernet cables for each Xbox game system.
TV's - the more friends you invite, the more TV's you'll need. 20 inch or larger TV's work the best. Make sure you have enough plug-ins or extensions for the TV's. (Matt said that most people brought thier own TV's unless the host happened to have extras)
Make sure everyone brings a snack & plenty of pop or have everyone chip in for pizza!

INSTRUCTIONS: This will be based on an 8 person setup

Plug in your network hub, preferably in a centralized location in the room.
Take 4 ethernet cables and plug them into the hub and into 4 Xbox's.
Then hook up the 4 Xbox's into 4 TV's.

You are now ready to play! Put 2 people on each Xbox and through the Xbox TV control ask everyone one to join the game. This way, everyone can play the same game together. Or for a twist, make it a Round-Robin Tournament. 2 players on each TV play against their partner, whoever wins plays the winner from each of the other teams until you have an ultimate Halo champ!

Be sure that where ever you have your Halo party, that you respect your host's home and clean up afterwards. That's it! Now you know how to have a Halo party! Have fun and enjoy!
